- In April 1741, the Trustees for the Colony of Georgia in London appointed a president and four assistants to preside over the colony's local affairs in Savannah. In March 1750 a vice-president was added to assist the president. This volume of the proceedings of the president, William Stephens; vice president, Henry Parker; and the four assistants, William Spencer, Samuel Marcer, Patrick Graham, and James Habersham, discusses relations between local residents, Native Americans, trade and land disputes, and the first elected Assembly in January 1751.
