In the 1800 election, Democratic Republican candidates Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr each received 73 electoral votes, with Federalist candidates receiving fewer electoral votes, which sent the election to the House of Representatives. The votes of Georgia's electors reflect the national vote, with four each going to Jefferson and Burr.
