- Juliette (Gordon) Low founded the Girl Scouts of the United States of America in 1912.
Correspondents include Juliette Gordon Low, Mrs. William Mackay Low; Eleanor Gordon Parker; Mabel Gordon; Nelly Kinzie Gordon; and Eliza Clifford Gordon Stiles. The letters are all from Juliette to her relatives and are written from her home in London and other parts of England and Europe. These letters tell about her friends and life in England, and a visit to Paris. Described are the naval review put on in honor of Queen Victoria's Jubilee Year in 1887 and Juliette's presentation at Court by Lady Hertford in 1888.
