- Sandy Springs High School was established in 1957 to serve the residents just north of Atlanta. In 1975, the school was repurposed as Sandy Springs Middle School as part of pilot program to introduce middle schools to the Fulton County School System. Students of the high school were consolidated with Ridgeview, Riverwood and North Springs High Schools.
