- Description:
- This publication was produced by students of Fairburn High School. Fairburn High School came under supervision of the Fulton County Board of Education as part of its merger with Campbell County in 1932. Built on land originally deeded to the latter county in 1925, the school originated as an elementary school for black students during the segregated era. The original structure was completed using the Rosenwald program to fund a portion of the costs. It is unclear when high school grades were added. In the 1970-71, Fairburn’s high school grades were integrated with then all-white Campbell High School nearby.
