Willen Lorinza Bacon was born on September
II, 1933 to the late Georgia and Lorin W. Bacon of
Claxton, GA, He was commonly known as Lorinza
Bacon with the nickname of TiT to many.
His formal education ended early but he
worked on the land and was a farmer all of his life.
He loved working the land and planned his crops
and planted his seeds with great expectations
each year. Over the years his enthusiasm was not
dimmed nor his hopes of one more good harvest.
He could talk hours with a friend about the land,
the weather, the planting, the plowing and fertiliz-
ing the fields. His calling was growing plants and
he did it well.
In his early years, he joined the Jerusalem Mis-
sionary Baptist Church and attended faithfully all
his life until the latter years when sickness pre-
vented regular attendance.
He worked seasonally at the Claxton Bakery
for 55 years until his retirement in 2010. He had
let it be known that he would stop working after
50 years but he passed that. He had many stories
to tell and enjoyed re-telling the antics there with
many life long friends.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ber-
nease Brewton on November 20, 1954 and from that
union nine children were born.
Willen Lorinza Bacon transitioned from this life on
Thursday, November 2nd after two days at home from
Camellia Rehab in Claxton, GA.
He leaves to cherish his memory eight children.
One daughter, Jewelene Hunter, preceded him to
Glory in 2012. The living are Pearl Bacon, JoAnn
Jackson, Bernetter (Franklin) Geiger, Fay (Blake)
Jones of Atlanta, GA. Floyd S. Bacon, Robert Bacon
and Penny Bacon of Claxton, GA. Lloyd (Kimberly)
Bacon of Athens, GA. His brothers: Ulysses Bacon of
Claxton, GA and Earl Seloy Bacon of New Rochelle,
NY. Fourteen grandchildren: LaTrenda (Lorenzo)
Love, Kim Jackson, Tyrone Jackson, Akilyah Johnson,
Eriah Geiger, Shemiah Geiger, Jasmine Hunter, Jheryl
Hunter, Blake Jones, Jr., Erica Jones, Eric Jones, Erin

Jesus said to her, 7 am the resurrection and the life. He who
believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever
lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?
John 11:25 NIV

God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you
and whispered, Come to Me.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly.
We could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating.
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.
