Funeral program for Donald J. Campbell

I LOVE YOU DAD
I love you Dad with all my heart
And hate that we should be apart
Our love is a bond that can't be broken
You may be gone, but never forgotten
I remember the day you went away
The pain in my heart is every beat
But I know that eventually, one day
We will, once again meet
The loss is something I can't describe
I'm really going to miss you
One day I'll be back by your side
So I can hug and kiss you
There are no words to tell you.
Just what Tm feeling inside
The shock, the hurt, the anger
One day, will gradually subside
Things will never again be the same
And though I'm hurting quite bad
I will smile whenever I hear your name
And be so proud to remember my Dad
Sleep well Dad, forever in our hearts and our thoughts
We will always love you dad.
From the children of Donald Campbell.

OBITUARY
Donald "Don" Jerry Campbell was born March 25, 1942 to the
late Jesse Lee Campbell in Brooklyn, Georgia.
He was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6,
2017, after battling cancer.
Don leaves behind a family whom he cherished and loved
deeply, and is survived by: his wife Earlease Campbell of 46
years; and his five children, Donald D. Campbell (Mary de-
ceased) of Dublin, GA, Cynthia Ashley of Yonkers, NY, Ricky
Bernard Campbell (Carmen) of Apex, NC, Elisa Campbell of Mt.
Vernon, NY, and Chande "Camp" Campbell (Vera) of Suffolk,
VA.
Fondly remembered by his loving brothers and beloved sister:
William Campbell (Gloria) of McDonough, GA and Larry
Campbell (Vivian) of Cartersville, GA and sister Irma Thomp-
son (Rudy) of Edge Water, EL.
Adored and loved by his eight grandchildren: Marshayne,
Tyler, Yasmine, Hailey, Donastasia, Chande, Morgan, and
Grant and his five great grandchildren Marshayne, Mikyeal,
Corey, Casey and Shyniece.
During his childhood Donald was a member of St. John Baptist
Church in Claxton, GA until he moved to Mt. Vernon, NY
where he attended Grace Baptist Church. His affirmed faith and
trust in the Lord remained strong throughout his life.
He will always be remembered as a dedicated father, loving
OBITUARY
brother, and loyal friend. Don cherished the time he spent with
his family and was extremely close to his siblings. Although he
lived in New York, he frequently visited his family and friends
and looked forward to spending time with the fellas in Myrtle
BeachMarvin, Donnie, James Earl, and Carl.
He held a special place in his heart for his children and raised
them to be strong, intelligent, and loving people. He relished
hearing about the accomplishments of his children and grand-
children and was so very proud of them all.
Donald was an avid sports fan who enjoyed spending time with
his family watching his New York Giants and routing for Rus-
sell Westbrook and LeBron James dominate the basketball court.
He was an expert bowler who participated in bowling leagues
and continued that passion until recently. He was a music afi-
cionado who often spent time listening to the sounds of old
school artists like A1 Green and Barry White, as well as contem-
porary music by Kem.
For over 40 years, Donald worked in construction. He retired as
a certified brick mason from Grenadier Construction Corpora-
tion in NY. He loved his craft and was a master at his skill
which allowed him to become an entrepreneur and start his
own business. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John 14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe
also in me."
