On Friday, April 28, 2017 Mr. Jessie Clyde (J.C.)
Sallie Sr., address officially Changed from 1332 Old
Savannah Highway, Claxton, Georgia to God's Garden
Street of Gold, God Heavenly, Kingdom.
Mr. J.C. was born on JunelO, 1918 to the late
Mr. Willie Sallie and the late Gertie Mims Sallie in Evans
County, Georgia.
Mr. J.C. only went to school for a few years. He
was well educated from hard work, and obtained a very
positive attitude about life. He was full of wisdom and fun.
He witnessed a lot of changes in his life.
He was a farmer at an early age and later worked
hard on The Sea Board Railroads for 30 years. He did not
stop after retiring, he obtained a job with Evans County
Board of Education as a janitor for 20 years. Mr. Sallie was
not tired, so he got a job at Hardee's and that was not
enough. He became a maintenance person at Evans
Memorial Hospital. With all these jobs, he still had a huge
garden for family, and friends of the community.
Many friends and family members had the
pleasure of vegetables from the garden of Mr. J.C. Sallie,
but he did it with love. His gardening was the next love of
his life after his children.
After he became ill, a very close friend of the
family, John Woods took over the planting of his garden
with the help of Mr. Sallie sitting and smiling on the
sideline watching. He would enter row after row of planting
with his tractors that he used for so many years.
These last days seeing our dad watching others
doing things he loved to do just made him so happy.
Mr. J.C. met and married the love of his life, Ida
Mae Jones in 1920. This union three children were born.
He loved his family but God so fit took Mrs. Ida Mae home.
Then he met and married Leary Mae Woods and
to this union seven children were born. Leary Mae was also
the love of his life and God so fit to call her home also.
Proceeding him in death; his parents Willie and
Gertie Sallie; one son James Sallie.
Mr. Jessie Clyde (J.C.) Sallie Sr., leaves in his
passing 13 children: Jessie C. Sallie Jr. (Maxie) of Webster,

We little knew that night that God
Was going to call your name.
In life we loved you brother,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you.
The day God called you home.
You left us precious memories.
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Grief is very selfish, lonely thing.
Nobody lettches us howto do it properly
so, we just hme to make up the rules as we
go dong.
Some days are O.K., some are bad,
tnd sometimes theyi'e just tmiful.
But we learn to go on.
We had to redefine !
"Normtd %
Normd will never be the semte.
When tomorrow starts without me
And Im not here to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me
I wish you wouldnt cry
The Way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We did not get to say
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
Each time that you think of me
I know you will miss me too
When tomorrow starts with out me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
The angel said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And That I would have to leave behind
All those I Dearly Love
But When I walked through Heavens Gates
I felt so much at home
When GOD looked down and smiled at me
From his golden throne
He said This Is Eternity
And All I promised you
Today for life on earth is dt
But Here it starts a new
I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last
And Since each days the exact same way
There is no longing for the past
So When Tomorrow starts without me
Do not think were apart
For every time you think of me
Remember Im right here in your heart
