Mrs. Judy Diane Brown Mays was bom on March 19,^56 in Claxton, Georgia. She
departed this life Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her
parents - Mr. Samuel Bacon and Mrs. Mamie Bacon.
Judy confessed faith in Christ at an early age and became a
member of the Healing Temple Church. She later joined
Staesboro Mission Outreach, Inc. There, she opened
up her heart to God and welcomed His spirit to dwell
eternally. Her favorite Bible passage came from
John 14:1. It profoundly says, Let not your heart
be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in
me.
Judy grew up in Claxton, Ga and had the
pleasure to travel to many places: Germany,
Panama, Korea, and many cities across the
United States of America. While traveling, she
enjoyed collecting souvenirs but she always
came back to Georgia to be with family and
friends.
Judy embodied a loving personality and a warm spirit.
She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening and
traveling.
Judy leaves to cherish her precious memories: Husband,
Walter Mays, three brothers. Reverend Raymond
(Shirley) Williams, Sr. of Claxton, Ga, James R.
Brown of Claxton, Ga and Carey (Wanza) Bacon of
Ellenwood, Ga; three sisters, Deloris (Alfred)
Walden of Statesboro, Ga, Philiacrecia (Nathaniel)
Moore of Fairbum, Ga and Samantha Newman of
Richmond, Va; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends. Judy
also leaves Sammie, Jr., Darryl and Sandra to
cherish loving memories.
