Obituary
Mrs. Fannie Mae Hendrix Murphy was bom on April 28,
1926 in Evans County Georgia to the late Pearl Surrency
Hendrix and Oscar Quincy Hendrix. The late Cora
Hendrix, her loving step-mother, reared her after her
mothers untimely death. On Monday, September 24,
2012, she completed her earthly journey for a well
deserved eternal rest with her heavenly father.
A woman of faith who enjoyed life the fullest, loving
and living for her God and family, Mrs. Murphy found
much joy in attending New Bethel Baptist Church in
Reidsville, GA and was a devoted member of Historic
Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Claxton, GA. She was
baptized at an early age and served until her death. She
was educated in the local church schools in the Evans
County area and later sent to complete her schooling at
the Dickinson Training School in Vidalia, GA.
She was married to the late Artis Calvin Murphy. This
union was blessed with an abundance of life through
blended and extended families. A mother of 11,
grandmother of 60, great grandmother of 76, and great-
great grandmother of 2; these flowers in her garden were
pruned with the Bible and the broom stick.

Memories
The time will come when I must say goodbye to those 1 love,
when my body will be too sick and worn out to keep me here,
when my season in this world will be over. 1 thank You for
the many years you have given me and ask that You be with
me and my family when my time does come. Comfort those 1
will leave behind reminding them that I have had a full,
productive life and that my time is in Your hands.

Your raee on Earth is done
You now live in heaven
