Cynthia Scott was born on August 18, 1963, in Claxton,
Georgia, to the late Eugene Scott, Sr. and Eloise Tenner Scott. She passed
away on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Ogeechee Hospice Inpatient
Center in Statesboro, Georgia, after a long illness.
She joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church at an early age
and later served as Assistant Secretary of the Mission Ministry.
She graduated from Claxton High School with the class of 1982
and Turner Job Corps Center, Albany, Georgia in 1985.
Leaving to cherish her memories are six sisters: Ms. Shela
Holland of Claxton, Georgia; Ms. Eelecia Lewis, Ms. Lenora Scott, and
Ms. Tonya Scott of Daisy, Georgia; Mrs. Almarita (Endrei) Baker of
Vidalia, Georgia; and Mrs. Patricia (Billy) Newkirk of Dale City,
Virginia. Eour brothers: Mr. Eugene (Alicia) Scott, Jr. of Daisy, Georgia;
Mr. Wilson Burgess and Mr. Roland Lane of Claxton, Georgia; Mr.
Jerome (Brenda) Lane of Hinesville, Georgia. One aunt Mrs. Annie
Jones ofGlaxton, Georgia; and two great aunts Mrs. Grace Brack and
Mrs. Willie B. Brack of Savannah, Georgia; one special cousin Ms.
Linda Page of Claxton, Georgia; and a host of relatives and friends.
