Charlie Blocker was born August 14, 1912 in Claxton, Georgia
to the late Annie and Will Blocker. Charlie was the youngest of nine sib-
lings who proceeded him in death.
On January 11, 2010, Charlie peacefully answered Gods call to
come home and take his rest.
Charlie was united in Holy Matrimony to Bessie Mikell Blocker
on January 19, 1938. She proceeded him in death afier 67 years of mar-
riage.
Charlie was a member of St. John Baptist Church where he
served faithfully on the deacon board until his passing.
Charlie was employed in the pulpwood industry for many years.
Later he gained employment at Claxton Poultry where he retired.
Unable to leave the workforce, he worked many more years for Harpers
Funeral Home.
Charlie was the proud father of three children, two of whom
proceeded him in death. He leaves to cherish his legacy a devoted daugh-
ter, Tangra Blocker (Carlos) Delgado of Claxton, GA; three loving
grandchildren: Starneisha Blocker, whom he raised as his own, and
Taquoya Miller, his Coco, both of Claxton, Georgia; a special grandson.
Petty OJficer 2nd Class Akaiya (Yoko) Miller of Sasebo, Japan. Three
great grandchildren: Marquesha

Sasebo, Japan and a host of
nephews, nieces, cousins and other
