Mrs. Francis Berry-McKever was bom on September 29,1956 in
Tallahassee, FLA to the late Johnnie Berry, Sr and Mother Lucille Berry.
She was a member of the St. John Primitive Baptist Church in Leon
County, FLA.
She attended the public schools of Evans County. She was employed
as a saw operator for over fifteen years at the Claxton Poultry Plant until
her health failed.
She departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the St
Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA after a long illness.
She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing, a devoted
husband: Mr. Larry L. McKever of Bellville, GA, her mother: Mrs.
Lucille Smith of Claxton, GA; two stepsons: Lany Laquan McKever of
Linden, NJ and Dennis Larry McKever of Durham, NC; one daughter:
Monique Singleton of Linden, NJ; four brothers: Andrew Goodman
(Joyce) of Tallahassee, FLA, Dewitt Gibson of Savannah, GA, Johnny
Berry, Jr of Bellville, GA, and Remon Berry of Claxton, GA; one sister:
Alice B. Sims (Major) of Hinesville, GA., step mother-in-law: Mrs.
Sarah Williams (Henry) of Claxton, GA; six sister-in-laws: Mrs. Quida
Williams of Newark, NJ, Mrs. Carolyn Dunson of Chester, VA,
Tawanna Washington of Columbia, SC, Mrs. Lula Mae Moody and Mrs.
Pearl Brown of Claxton, GA, Ms. Shirley McKever of Warner Robbins,
GA; three brother-in-laws: Mr. Burnell Williams of West Orange, NJ,
Mr. Frank McKever and Mr. Fred Moody of Claxton, GA; five aunts:
Mrs. Maggie and Mrs. Cora Lee Hagan of Hagan, GA, Mrs. Juanita
McKever and Mrs. Ella Mae Oglesby of Claxton, GA; one uncle: Mr.
Thaddaeus of Hagan, GA, six special devoted friends: Paul Heath,
Delores Jones, Idella Smith, Larry Tompkins, Velma Rae Tompkins and
India Wasp and a host of other relatives and friends.
