OBITUARY
Samuel Graham (better known as Sam) was the 4th child of
Richard and Lottie Mae Graham, bom on August 14, 1952.
Early on, he joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Sam grew up in a
loving, disciplined home where Christ was center, and family and
friends were always welcomed
A 1970 graduate of Tattnall County Industrial High, he received a
BS degree in Electronic Engineering from Savannah State College.
He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. After graduation,
Sam moved to Binghamton, NY, where he worked until relocating
to Houston, TX, employed by Link Division of the Singer Company.
During the early to mid-eighties, he was employed by McDonald
Douglas (St. Louis, MO).
Sam was united in holy matrimony to Duie Etta Turner of Jefferson,
TX, on 7-1-78. To this union 2 children were born, Kay and
Darius.
Sam relocated back to Manassas in 1990, where he lived until
February 2005. Sam departed this life on Monday, 12-5-2005, at
Candler County Hospital (Metter, GA).
He is survived by his wife, Duie Etta; his children Kay and Darius
(St. Charles, MO); brother Richard Graham, Jr. (Deloris) of
Cheltenham, MD; sisters Lily Harris of Claxton, and Mae Frances
Russell (Lawrence) of Seat Pleasant, MD; nieces Harvesteen,
Arberdeen, Patricia, and Eileen; his niece Sylvia preceded him in
death 2 months ago. He is also survived by other nieces and
nephews, cousins (whom he grew up with, Eva Lee, Jeanette, Vera
Bell, and Bobbie Gene), and other relatives and friends.
