Brother James (Crush, Grizz) Williams, Jr., was bom August
25, 1959 to the late James Hendrix Williams, Sr. and Vinnie
Thompson Williams, in Statesboro, Georgia.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Gloriette Swanson
Williams in 1982.
He attended Claxton High School, where he got the
nickname, Cmsh, while on the football team.
He was a former employee of Georgia Pacific and a security
guard, before being touch with illness and could no longer work.
He was a member of Byrds Temple Church, Pembroke,
Georgia for many years. He later joined Claxton Deliverance
Temple, Claxton, Georgia. He moved to Savannah in 1989 and
joined the Little Rock Moimtain of Holiness Church, Savannah,
Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memories; a loving wife,
Gloriette Williams, Savannah; one daughter, Monica Hall,
Savannah; one son, Anthony (Erica) Hall and Deontra Hampton (as
a son), both of Savannah; one sister, Janice Wells, Hinesville; one
brother, Napoleon Pop Williams (Jody), Camp Penalton,
California; five aunts: Welene Hendrix, Emma D (James Nick)
Wilkerson, both of Claxton; Katherine Johnson, Hinesville; Aloise
Thompson, Glenville; Della Mae Thompson, Delrae Beach,
Florida; one uncle: William Thompson, Hawaii; three sisters-n-law:
Jody Williams, Camp Penalton, Ca.; Stella Hampton, Claxton;
Debra Swanson Gadson, Savannah; two brothers-n-law: Richard
Swanson, Jr. and Clarence Gadson, Jr., both of Savannah; one
daughter-n-law. Erica Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, family
and friends.
