Obituary
eorge W. McFadden as bom on Febmary 22,
1911 in Evans County, Georgia to the iate
George Washington and Adiede McFadden.
George met and married the iove of his iife Heien
Smith and from that union there were eight chiidren, which
six chiidren proceed his death. At an early age, George
attended Thomas Grove A.M.E. Church in Claxton, Georgia
where he was baptized, married and a deacon. George was a
skilled tradesman as a contractor. He was hard working man
who loved and provided for his family.
In 1962, George and his family relocated to Hew York
City, looking to provide a better opportunity for him and his
family. He worked at the Boat Marina until his health began to
fail.
Looking always to give back, George was well known
and active at the CCM Home Health Care Center in Bronx,
Hew York for 10 years, where he assisted the patients in
all aspects of life, given hope to those that might not have
had someone to show them love. He did this out the kindness
of his heart and he was love by all especially the women. They
loved the way he dressed and carried himself.
George was sport lover an avid Hew York Mets Fan.
George W. McFadden leaves to cherish fond memories;
two sons, Artis and James; four daughters-in-law, Gladys,
Joan, Dorothy and Laura; two sisters-in-law, Loleta and Jessie;
thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host
of nieces, nephews and friends.
