Obituary
His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant:
thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over
many things: enter into the joy of thy Lord.
Matthew 25:21
A TIME TO BE BORN: Mr. Allen McClennon (Dollar Bill), the son of the
late Mr. John and Mrs. Amendar Wilkerson McClennon, was born in Daisy,
Georgia on June 20, 1924.
A TIME TO LIVE: Dollar Bill, as he was affectionately called by family and
friends, received his education in the Evans County School System. He
was a School Bus Driver for the Evans County School System and retired
after 16-1/2 years. He was also a retired Farmer.
A TIME TO WORSHIP: At an early age, he joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary
Baptist Church. As his faith grew stronger in the Lord, he was ordained as
a Deacon and served faithfully for sixty-two years until his health failed.
A TIME TO DIE: God made a decisive call to Dollar Bill on Friday, March
18,2005. He saw the need to grant His servant rest. God quickly and
quietly beckoned His child home.
A Precious One From Us Is Gone
A Voice We Loved Is Still
A Spot Is Now Vacant In Our Hearts
That Can Never Be Filled
Memories are left to live on in the hearts of: his sister, Mrs. Zonia Garrison
of Claxton, Georgia; his brother, Mr. Clyde McClennon of Plainfield, New
Jersey; two dedicated and devoted nephews: Mr. Johnny Lott of Atlanta,
Georgia and Mr. Larry Garrison of Claxton, Georgia; and a host of loving
and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Historic Mt. Pleasant
Church Family.
Dont grieve for me
For now Im following the path God laid for me,
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all;
I could not stay another day;
To laugh, to love, or to work.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
Finally I found peace
At the closing of the day
