THe Obituary
On Wednesday, January 7, 2004, God looked down and
saw Pinkie Jacobs was tired and decided to call her home to eternal
rest.
JacoBs was bom on October 24, 1937 in Claxton,
Georgia. It was there she received her formal education.
Pinkie later moved to New Jersey to begin her adult life. Later,
she met and married Levander Jacobs on August 9, 1986 and
served as a devoted wife and mother. To know Pinkie was to love
Pinkie was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church of
Irvington under the pastorate of Rev. Rudy Carlton and also the
Eastern Star Order.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Ollie Mae
Wilkerson; husband, Levander Jacobs; two sons, Tony Jones and
Paul Gilliam; one stepson, Thurston J. Powell; two daughters-in-
law; one sister, Minnie Smith of New Jersey; three brothers,
Eugene Wilkerson, Willie Gene Wilkerson and Rodney Wilkerson
all of Georgia; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-laws; a host of
grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, nephews, great nieces,
great nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by
her fatW, Alfonso Wilkerson; sister, Ruth McFadden and
stepdaughter, Patricia Webb.
Heavenly Father:
We tmly thank you for the time on this earth you allowed Pinkie
into this family to share love and be loved.
