OBITUARY
Mrs. Joyce (Nancy) Harden Griffin
was born on June 20, 1951, to the par-
ents of Mrs. Clara Harden and the late
Mr. Elwood Harden.
She attended Evans County public
schools of Claxton, GA. At an early
age she joined the St. Luke Baptist
Church. She was a loving hard work-
ing mother who made everyone laugh
and enjoy life. She was a friend who
gave respect and was respected by all.
She will be sadly missed by those who loved and knew her.
In May 1994 she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Willie
Calvin Griffin, who proceeded her in death on June 6, 1998.
She departed this life on April 22, 2003, at Evans Memorial Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her mother, Clara Harden of
Claxton, GA; five children, Victor Rogers, Columbus, GA, Tuwana
(Terry) Wakefield, Abbeville, SC, Tameka Douglas, Claxton, GA,
Sharon Rogers, Claxton, GA, and Duston Rogers, Claxton, GA; five
brothers, Edward Harden, Claxton, GA, Donnie (Shayla) Harden,
Columbus, GA, Jerry (Peggy) Harden, Savannah, GA, Earl Harden,
Brooklyn, NY, and Dexter Harden, Columbus, GA; eleven grandchil-
dren, five residing in Claxton, GA, four residing in Columbus, GA, two
residing in Abbeville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other rel-
atives. Devoted friends of the
family. Miss Diane Mainer,
Mrs. Betty Warren, Gracie Lee
Porter, and Bessie L. Furman.

I am in heaven for this is true I am not suffering nor
am I in pain. Go on with your life and and do not live in
vain. Now that I am at rest I would want you all to do
your best, forget me not for I am in heaven. Everyone
loved me this I know, you should not have pain and grief
for it was only my time to go.
