Lifers Reflections
"All my grief and pain is over and my restless tossing has
passed. I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last.
I am in heaven, my children. Oh, so happy and so bright. Theres
a great relief in knowing Jesus is now my everlasting light.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2003, while at Claxton Nursing
Home, God sent an angel of mercy to relieve the suffering of His
dear child, Mrs. Willie Bell (Bill) Richardson Bacon. She was
bom December 6, 1924, in Tattnall County, GA, to the late Lizzie
and Leroy Richardson. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age
and joined the New Bethel Baptist Church (Tar City), Manassas,
GA. On June 1, 1943, she was united in holy matrimony to the
late Mr. Clarence Troy Bacon. After marriage, she joined the Mt.
Pleasant Baptist Church where she served as an active choir
member until her health failed. She was a life member of Sweet
Evening Breeze #269 Order of the Eastern Star, Claxton, GA, and
she was crowned Ms. Claxton Nursing Home 2001.

Time
A Mother Farewell to Her Children
When I must leave you for a little while,
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through the years,
But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same.
Feed not your loneliness on empty days.
But fill each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die.
For I am waiting for you in the sky!
