Another soldier is gone, he fought the fight and kept the faith
until the end, but God knew he was tired of the pain, we will miss
his smile and kindness, but we shall holdfast to the cherished
moments of the past.
Obituary
Alexander {A.L.) Clark was born on May 25, 1935, in Evans
County to the late Mr. James T. Clark and Mrs. Esther W.
Clark. Five brothers and sisters preceded him in death: Infant
Kermitt Clark, James Kermitt Clark, John Clark, Thomas Clark,
Esther Hortense Robinson Lee, and Gladys Jones. He joined
Jerusalem Baptist church at a young age.
He was educated in the public schools of Evans C^ounty. He
served four years in the United States Army/ Germany during the
Korean Conflict.
He was married to the late Myrtle Palmer and to this union was
born one daughter.
A.L. was a heavy equipment operator for the Latimer Company
in the Washington, D.C. area for more than 15 years. He was
recognized for his expertise,dedication and committment. He was
proud of his family, church and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories; one daughter, Mrs. Mary R.
Green of Savannah, Georgia: one son-in law. Rev. William Green
Jr. of Savannah, Georgia; one aunt, Mrs. Bertha Ball of Miami,
Florida, three sisters in law; Mrs. Carrie H. Clark of Claxton,
Georgia, Mrs. Carolyn Clark of Miami, Florida, and Mrs. Evelyn
Clark of Miami, Florida; two granddaughters; Latisha Green
and Torisha Green of Savannah, Georgia, one grandson; William
Green III, of Savannah, Georgia; one great grand son; Davon
Tate of Savannah, Georgia; and a host of nieces , nephews,
cousins, and friends.
