PROFILE OF LIFE
To everything there is a season, A time for every
purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Mr. Joseph Mack (Uncle Joe) was born August 25,1922
to the late Sarah Coleman-Porter in Evans County. He met and
married the late Dorothy Polite-Mack. They were blessed with
two beautiful children: Jimmy Mack and Janice Mack-Jones.
They raised Wilbur Polite (nephew) as their son.
He lived in Claxton most of his adult life. He attended
Evans County Public school. He left school after 6*' grade to
work in order to help support his family. He worked as a cement
finisher until he retired .
Joseph joined Smith Chapel First Christ Holiness Church
in Hagan, GA on January 17, 1999 under the leadership of
Bishop Bennie Bacon. He was baptized at a later date.
He leaves to cherish his memories three loving children:
Jimmy Mack of Claxton, GA; Janice Jones of Prince George,
VA; and Wilbur Polite (nephew) of Pembroke, GA. A wonderful
brother-in-law. Bishop James H. (Wilbert) Polite of Charleston,
SC. One God sister: Missionary Maggie Harper of Claxton, GA.
One son-in-law. Leroy Jones of Chester, VA. One daughter-in-
law Warwesse Polite (niece) of Pembroke, GA. One aunt:
Mammie Coleman-Stevens of Daisy, GA. One nephew Willie E.
Floyd of Claxton, GA. Ten grandchildren: Twia Torrez of Mary
Esther, FL; Omar Gunn and Shyra Jones of Prince George, VA;
Corey and Andrea Polite of Savannah, GA; Charlotte, Reginald,
Regina, and Nicholas Polite of Pembroke, GA; S.A. Shonda
Polite of Norfolk, VA. One grandson-in-law Jerry Torrez of
Mary Esther, FL. Two great-grandchildren: ASonta (Toddy)
Polite of Pembroke, GA; and Demetris Torrez of Mary Esther,
FL. A host of cousins and friends.
