Mr. Eldred WUliams

Brother Eldred Williams departed this life quietly on
Saturday, March 25, 2000 at Claxton Nursing Home.
He was bom August 23, 1933 to Mr. Oscar Williams,
Sr. and Mrs. Verdie Brewton Williams in Claxton,
Georgia. He attended Evans County School System and
was a life long resident of the county.
At an early age he united with Historic Mt. Pleasant
Missionary Baptist Church. He worshipped and brought
up all his children to love the Lord and serve His
church.
He was united in holy matrimony to Betty McClennon
on September 23, 1955. To this union seven children
were bom.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and faithful
wife, Mrs. Betty McClennon Williams; his children,
Mrs. Gloria Williams Lovette, Claxton, GA, Mrs. Kay
Williams Ashe, Reidsville, NC, Mrs. Sharon Williams
Bryant, Fayetteville, NC, Ms. Clarice Williams, Hagan,
GA and Mr. Timothy Williams, Jacksonville, NC; three
sisters, Mrs. Lena Williams Reaves, Sandersville, GA,
Mrs. Mary Lee Williams Brown, Macon, GA and Mrs.
Lonell Norwood, Lakeland, FL; one brother, Mr. Lucius
Williams, Sandersville, GA; one uncle, Mr. Levi
(Fisher) Brewton, Reidsville, GA; one aunt, Mrs. Sophie
Brewton, Claxton, GA; three sons-in-law, Mr. Marvin
Lovette, Mr. Michael Ashe and Mr. Donald Bryant;
three brothers-in-law, Mr. Mannie Reaves, Mr. Tommie
Brown and Mr. Robert Norwood; eleven grandchildren,
Renesha Lovette and Shambriella Lovette, both of
Claxton, GA, Michael Ashe, Jr., Meshawn Ashe,
Kindrey Ashe, Sasha Ashe, Michala Ashe and Geno
Ashe, all of Reidsville, NC, lenda Bryant, Nigel Bryant
and Deidre Bryant, all of Fayetteville, NC; one great-
grandchild, Jasmine Ashe, Reidsville, NC and a host of
nieces, nephews and other cousins.
