OBITUARY
^AFTER GLOW^
Id like the memory of me,
To be a happy one;
Id like to leave an after glow.
Of Smiles, when life is done.
Id like to leave an echo.
Whispering softly down the way;
Of happy times and laughing times.
And bright and sunny day.
Id like the tears of those who grieve.
To dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave.
When my life here is done.
Summertime has come and gone, the leaves are slowly falling,
on November 17,1999 at 1:40 p.m. in the afternoon, the Lord called one
of his devoted and faithful servants home from the Claxton Nursing
Home. Sister Lollie Mae Mincey Palmer was bom on January 3, 1917
to the late Charlie and Georgia Mincey in Manassas, Georgia.
At an early age she joined the Oak Grove A.M.E. Church and
served faithfully until her health failed. She served as a Steward, a
Stewardess, and a Class Leader. She also was a member of the Women
Missionary Society, a Gladiette, and a lifetime member of the Sweet
Evening Breeze Chapter #269.
She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving and faithful hus-
band, Mr. Mallie (Son) Palmer, a loving daughter, Ms. Jannie L. Palmer,
both of Claxton, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Brotten Holland (Walter)
and Mrs. Vemease (Easal) Johnson, both of Claxton, Georgia; two
brothers, Mr. Coy (Jay) Mincey (Delores), Patterson, New Jersey and
Mr. Spaniel Mincey (Mary) of Bmnswick, Georgia; eleven brothers-in-
law; ten sisters-in-law, and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives
and friends.
