departed this life Saturday morning October 23, 1999 at the
Nephrology Center in Statesboro, Georgia.
She was bom July 10, 1932 to the late Sam and Lula
Brewton of Claxton, Georgia. She graduated from Evans
County Training School in 1954 with honors and was a
lifelong resident of Evans County.
At an early age, she joined Historic Mt. Pleasant
Missionary Baptist Church where she worshipped and brought
up all her children to love the Lord and to serve in His church.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Lorinza Bacon,
November 20, 1954 and from their union, nine children were
bom.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and faithful
husband, Mr. Lorinza Bacon; her children, Ms. Pearl Bacon,
Mrs. JoAnn Jackson and Mrs. Bemetter Geiger, all of Atlanta,
GA; Mrs. Jewelene Hunter and Mr. Floyd Bacon, both of
Claxton, GA; Mr. Lloyd Bacon of Athens, GA; Mr. Robert
Bacon, Mrs. Fay Jones and Ms. Penny Bacon, all of Claxton,
GA; one uncle, Mr. Fisher Brewton of Reidsville, GA; one
aunt, Mrs. Sophie Brewton of Claxton, GA; two brothers-in-
law, Mr. Ulysses Bacon of Claxton, GA and Mr. Earl Bacon
of New Rochelle, NY; three sons-in-law, Mr. Franklin Geiger
of Atlanta, GA; Mr. Frank Hunter and Mr. Blake Jones, both
of Claxton, GA; eleven grandchildren, LaTrenda McClean,
Kim Jackson, Jasmine Hunter, Theryl Hunter, Blake Jones,
Jr., Eric Jones and Erica Jones, all of Claxton, GA; Tyrone
Jackson, Akilah Bacon, Eriah Geiger and Shemiah Geiger, all
of Atlanta, GA; one half-brother, Mr. Gary Holland
(Bumetter) of Claxton, GA; nephews and a host of cousins
and friends.
