"For I am now ready to be ojfered and the time of my departure is at hand. I
have fought a goodfight, I have finished my course, 1 have kept the faith.
James Sallie was bom December 21, 1958 in Metter, Georgia to Mr. J. C.
Sallie and the late Mrs. Leary Mae Sallie. He entered into eternal rest
September 2,1999, 8:40 a.m. at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro,
Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memory; two children. Miss Briana Bacon,
Claxton, GA and Mr. Steven Joyce, Reidsville. GA; his father, Mr. J. C.
Sallie of Claxton, GA; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ms. Doris
Sallie, Ms. Annie Albritton and Mrs. Karen Hodges (Billy), all of Claxton,
GA and Mrs. Anita Robertson (Tony), Jacksonville, FL; seven brothers
and six sisters-in-law, Mr. Willie James Stewart (Cleo) and Mr. Charles
Stewart (Gwen), Claxton, GA, Mr. Jessie Sallie, Jr. (Maxie), Webster, FL,
Mr. Ronnie Sallie (Barbara), Jacksonville, FL, Mr. Robert Allen Sallie
(Angela), Savannah, GA, Mr. Henry Sallie (Tina), Collins, GA and Mr.
Michael Sallie, Daisy, GA; a loving and cherished friend, Ms. Vera
Matthews, Daisy, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives
and friends.
