ValUree Elaine Porter was born on March 1, 1937, to the
late James and Eliza Porter. At an early age, she attended St.
Luke Baptist Church. On September 24, 1956 she was wedded to
James Otha Brewton, Sr., and to this union ten children were
born.
In 1963, ValUree joined Healing Temple Church and in
1985 she co - founded Bible Way Deliverance Church. She was
called to rest on November 8,1997. She leaves to cherish her
loving memories: her husband. Bishop Otha Brewton; ten
children, Veronica Binion, Stephanie Turner, Grayling
Brewton, Cynthia Small, James Otha Brewton, Jr., Twila
Johnson, Victor Brewton, Deborah Rawls, Caroline LeVant,
and Buena Brewton. Five sons-in-law: Albert Binion, Richard
Small, Scottie Johnson, Warded Rawls, and Elbert LeVant;
three daughters-in-law: Cora Brewton, Margie Brewton, and
Donna Brewton; six sisters: Letha Lawson, Fredia Singleton,
Velma Jones, Northa Bell McNeal, Minnie Lee Wright, and
Mary Alice Williams; one sister-in-law: Betty Doe; Thirty-Uvo
grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives
and friends.
