OBITUARY
Mr. Thomas ONeal Nails was born in
Liberty County, Groveland, Georgia on March 18,
1932 to the late Beatrice Nails. He departed this
life suddenly on Monday, February 17, 1997 at
Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton, Georgia. He
attended public schools in Liberty and Evans
Counties.
At an early age Thomas joined Jesusalem
Baptist Church where he served faithfully on the
Ushers Board. He was also a member of St.
Josephs Lodge #76. He was a veteran of World
War II. He retired from Claxton Coca Bottling
Company after working for 35 years.
Thomas will always be fondly remembered
by his wife Eva Mae Nails of Claxton, Ga.; four
daughters, Karen Nails Porter of Daytona Beach,
Florida, Vicki Nails and Mary Ellen Wyatt, both of
Claxton, Ga., and Virginia Murphy of San Antonio,
Texas; one son, Carlos Nails of Atlanta, Ga.; eight
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three cousins;
and other relatives and friends.
The clock of time is wound but once
And no man has the power;
To tell just when the hands will stop.
At late or early hour.
