OBITUARY
Mr. George Franklin Nunnally was born on March 7, 194S, to
Mrs. Elouise Nunnally and the late George Nunnally, in
Statesisoro, Georgia.
George was employed at Reidsville State Prison where he
served faithfully as a Guard until his illness. He had been a
member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church from an early
age. On December 11, 1996 at 1:20 A.M., Brother George
retired from his earthly services and went home to be with the
Lord.
He leaves to mourn his memory, a loving wife, Mary A.
Nunnnally, Vidalia, two daughters, Gwendolyn Mechelle Sharp,
Tampa, FI; Georgette Regina Mathis, Hagan, GA; two sons,
Joseph Bernard Nunnally, Sr., Charleston, SC; and Corey
Morrice Nunnally, Statesboro, GA; his mother, Elouise
Nunnally, Killeen, TX; four brothers, Clyde Williams and
Donald L. DuPont, of Savannah; Henry L. DuPont, Hartford,
CT; Eugene Lawson, Kileen, TX; two sisters, Cora Nunnally,
Temple, TX; and Gladys Nelson, Cincinnati, OH, four half
sisters, Carol & Carolyn Davis, Claxton; May Cox, Glennville,
and Betsy Nunnally, Florida; his step-mother, Gracie Davis,
Claxton, three step sisters and two step brothers; four step
daughters, Lawannah Rouse, Virginia Beach; Yolanda
Sprnger, Reidsville, GA; Renae Harris, Baxley, GA; Lakeitha
Sharpe, Cheasepeake, VA; i:wo step sons, Wil iam Stacy
Springer, Lyons; Brian Keith Rogers, Chesepeake, VA; four
sisters-in-law, Juanita Williams and Versie M. OuPont, of
Savannah; Marva DuPont, Hartford, CT; Mrs. Linda Lawson,
Kileen, TX; six grandsons. 8 grand daughters, twenty-two
step grand children, and a host of nieces and nephews.
