OBITUARY
Mrs. Lena Bell Jackson was born April 25, 1921 in
Tattnall County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Callie Simmons
Brenton. She was married to Wilbur Jackson, who has
preceded her in death. She departed this life January 6,
1994 at Evans Memorial Hospital.
She attended Tattnall and Evans County Schools,
however, she lived most of her life in Evans County. She
joined St. Luke Baptist Church at an early age. Lena Bell
was faithful to her church serving as an usher. She was
a community person, always serving where she was need-
ed regardless to race, creed, or color, just a loving, car-
ing person. She leaves to cherish her memories one sister,
Mrs. Nina Johnson, Statesboro, Ga.; two brothers, Henry
Brenton, Claxton and James L. Jinks, Richmond, Calif.;
one aunt. Sis. Beatrice McCray, Daisy, Ga.; one brother-
in-law, Dea. Walter Johnson, Statesboro; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Only one life it will soon be past
