OBITUARY
Mrs. Annette Goodman Mathis was born March 6,
1949 in Evans County to the late Mr. Ellis Middleton and
Mrs. Vernese Duncan. She was a member of the First
African Baptist Church where she served in the choir. She
departed this life Monday, April 1, 1991 at the Candler
Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She leaves to mourn a husband Mr. Edward Mathis
of Claxton, Georgia; a loving Mother, Mrs. Vernese Dun-
can of Claxton, Georgia; one son, Mr. Anthony Goodman
of Claxton, Georgia; two daughters. Miss Teresa Good-
man and Miss Tracy McClain, both of Claxton, Georgia;
two grandchildren, MyKasa Goodman and Kawasha
Wilkerson, both of Claxton, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs.
Loretta Williams and Miss Marilyn Brown, both of
Syracuse, New York; three aunts, Mrs. Margaret Jenks of
Glennville, Georgia; Mrs. Effie Primous and Mrs. Dorothy
Morgan, both of Claxton, Georgia; one uncle, Mr. Hershel
Middleton of Claxton, Georgia; her mother and father-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Mathis of Manassas, Georgia; and
a host of sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.
