OBITUARY
Another soldier is gone, to get a great reward; she
fought the fight, she kept the faith and now she has gone
home to God.
Nevada Kittrell, the daughter of the late Jasper and
Trumilla Everett was born May 17,1923 in Collins, Georgia
and departed this life June 12, 1989 at St. Josephs
Hospital, Savannah, Georgia.
At an early age she joined the Charlton Grove Bap-
tist Church. Later in life she moved away to New Rochelle,
N. Y., and became a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist
Church, New Rochelle, where she served on the Usher
Board and was a faithful member for years.
She was united in Matrimony to Mr. Willie Kittrell,
November 15, 1969. In 1978 they moved to Savannah,
Ga., and became a member of Connors Temple Baptist
Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband,
Mr. Willie Kittrell; one daughter, Mrs. Willine Johnston,
Savannah, Ga.; two sons, Joe L. Mincey, Bronx, N. Y. and
James Mincey, Phoenix, Arizona; one son-in-law, Winfield
C. Johnston, Savannah, Ga.; five grandchildren. Lemon
Mincey, Jr., Winfield C. Johnston, II, Tahira R. Johnston,
Jamie Mincey and Angela Mincey; two great-
grandchildren, Kailani and Lehua Ugbinada; six sisters,
Mrs. Roberta Byrd, Mrs. Novella Gamble, Mrs. Coriene
Mercer, Mrs. Ruby Dell Baker and Mrs. Catherine Bacon,
all of Claxton, Ga., Mrs. Maggie Brewton, Mt. Vernon, N.
Y.; two brothers, Booker T. Everett, New Rochelle, N. Y.
and Roosevelt Everett, Collins, Ga.; two sisters-in-law,
seven brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and
friends.
