OBITUARY
The Lord is my shepard; I shall not want; He maketh
me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside
the still waters.
He restoreth my soul; He leadeth in the paths of
righteous for his names sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and
thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of
mine enemies; thou anoinest my head with oil; my cup
runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Mr. Frank Martin was born in Bulloch County,
Georgia, on January 5, 1905, to the late Mrs. Leslie
Martin. He departed this life November 22, 1987, after a
long illness.
He joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in
his earlier years, and remained a faithful member until his
health prevented him from attending. He attended Claxton
Public School. He was a retired Employee of the Claxton
Coca-Cola Bottling Company. He also was a Claxton
Booster Club member.
He was united in holy matrimony to the late Mrs.
Katie Knight Matrin. To this union one child was born.
He leaves to mourn his passing a son, Mr. Lee A.
Martin, Savannah, Georgia; a brother, Mr. James Thomas,
Atlanta, Georgia; a foster daughter, Mrs. Winnifred Bell,
Plainfield, N. J.; a granddaughter, Ms. Louise Williams
Moody, Claxton, Georgia; two nieces, Mrs. Doris Suggs,
Hillside, N. J. and Mrs. Blanche Perry, Philadelphia, Pa.;
and a devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Saintee Knight, Claxton,
Georgia; three great-grandchildren and a host of cousins of
Claxton and Statesboro.
