OBITUARY
Mr. John was born in Emanuel County. Parents, Mrs.
Susie and Mr. Dan Rich on October 4th, 1900.
Early life he moved to Candler County. He was married
to Miss Bertie Mae Holland. Who precedeed him in death by
1 year 2 months, to this union two children were born.
Mr. John moved to Evans County where he united him
self with the First A. B. Church worked faithful and joyful for
years and years, he was in later years, the church father
along with his wife as church mother. He was Asst. Sunday
School Supt. Secretary of the Deacon Board and a friend to
all. He went to spend the winter with his family in N. J. he
was coming home in March, he got sick and on Saturday,
April 26,1986, the heavenly Father saw the lonely full grown
flower and he plucked it.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Susie Mae Hunter
Rahway, N. J.; a son, John L. Rich, Pheonix, Ariz; a grand
son, Albert Rich, Elizabeth, N. J. and 4 other grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; a devoted and special friend, Mr.
James Beck, Rahaway, N. J.; 3 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Millie
Wynn, Claxton, Ga., Mrs. Sophie Rich, Brunswick, Ga., Mrs.
Claudie Mae Holland, Cobbtown, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Mr.
J. L. Wilkerson, Claxton, Ga.
God was walking in his garden,
one he made with his own hands.
The sun was shining on every flower,
young and old thru out the land.
He walked and walked,
looking for a full grown flower.
Pausing there, God saw Mr. John,
ready to be taken at that hour.
