OBITUARY
Mr. Odeil Benjamin was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leo
Benjamin August 23, 1929, in Evans County, Georgia. He
departed this life on December 9, 1983, at Evans Memorial
Hospital after a short illness. At an early age he joined St.
John Missionary Baptjst Church, Claxton, and remained a
member until death.
He was married to Mrs. Tholla McKever. He leaves to
mourn a loving wife, Mrs. Tholia M. Benjamin; six sons,
Aaron Benjamin, Miami, Fla., Anthony Odell Benjamin,
Reidsville, Ga., Roy Lee Benjamin, Chicago, III., Donell
Darvin Leon, and Jeffery Shelton Benjamin, all of Claxton,
Ga.; step-children, Neta Belt, Mary Lee and Walter Slater, all
of Miami, Fla., and Johnny McKever, Claxton, Ga.; father,
Mr. Leo Benjamin, Claxton, Ga.; one sister. Miss Hazel
Benjamin; and one brother. Rev. James Benjamin, both of
Claxton, Ga.; one grandson, Dante DaqMance Benjamin;
three aunts, Mrs. Winnie Jane Johnson, Mrs. Roberta Fisher
and Mrs. Verdie Mae Jackson; four uncles, Mr. Andrew
Benjamin, Mr. Lovett Benjamin, Mr. Sai Johnson, Mr. U. C.
Sikes and Mr. George McDonald; sisters-in-law, Jaunita
Benjamin, Jaunita McKever, Maggie McKever, and Mrs.
Lula Collins; brothers-in-law, Jim McKever and Clarence
McKever, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
He will not be forgotten.
Though on earth he Is no more;
But In memory and spirit he is with us
As he always was before.
