Servant of God well done,

Charles Lester Boggs was born in Liberty County,
Georgia, March 30, 1938. He was the son of Mrs. Julia B.
Levant and stepson of Mr. Thomas Levant. At an early age he
joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Claxton, Georgia. He
graduated from Evans County High School, Claxton,
Georgia. He also served in the United States Army.
He was united in marriage to Vertie Lee Warren. To this
union, one son was born. He departed this life February 9,
1982, Pompano Beach, Florida.
He leaves to mourn: his wife, Vertie Lee Warren Boggs,
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one son, Carlos Boggs, Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.; four sisters, Mary Bell Levant, Newark,
N.J., Marcel Jones, Jackson, Miss., Juanita Scott, Chicago,
III., June Levant, Newark, N.J., two brothers-in-law, Arnell
D. Jones and Nathaniel Scott; one aunt, Mrs. Olivia West;
four uncles, Mr. Elroe Boggs, Mr. Roland Boggs, Mr. Purlie
Boggs and Mr. Carl Boggs; several nieces, nephews, cousins
and a host of other relatives and friends.
There is a reaper whose is death
And with his sickle keen
He reaps whom he will at breath
He comes but cannot be seen.
