Mrs. Lula Hendrix Marshall, daughter of the late Ander and
Maggie Lee Hendrix was born on August 15, 1895 in Evans
County, Georgia. She departed this life on Friday, December 17,
1982 at the Bulloch Memorial Hospital, Statesboro, Georgia.
At an early age, she joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church
where she was a faithful member until her health failed.
In her early life, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late
Ollie Brewton. To this union three children were born, two
daughters, Cloteria and Dora, and a son, Dewey. She later
married Dave Marshall who preceded her in death. To this union
four children were born, a daughter, Gladys, and three sons,
Freddie, David and Theo.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Mrs. Dora
Roberts of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Gladys Richardson and Mrs.
Cloteria Brown both of Ocala, Fla.; four sons, Freddie Marshall of
Claxton, Ga., David Marshall of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Theo Marshall of
Genesco, N.Y., and Dewey Brewton of Ocala, Fla.; four brothers,
Ralph Hendrix of Detroit, Mich., Lehman Hendrix of Ocala, Fla.,
Remer Hendrix of Claxton, Ga., and Jack Hendrix of Statesboro,
Ga.; four daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, six sisters-in-law, 28
grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 38 great-great-
grandchildren, two great-great-great-grandchildren.
