OBITUARY
Mrs. Pearlie B. Wilkerson departed this life February 3,
1983, at home after a long illness. She was born to the late
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Flolland in the year of 1915 in Candler
County. At an early age she joined the Piney Grove M.B.
Church, Aline, Georgia. After moving to Claxton, she united
herself to the Mt. Calvary M. B. Church. After a few years,
she united herself with the First A. B. Church family, where
she served faithfully even during her illness.
She served a number of years as Missionary Society
president. Also sang in the choir. She was a loyal member
and a good neighbor in the community where she lived.
Those who are left to lament her expiration are; A loving
husband, Mr. J. L. Wilkerson, Claxton, Ga.; one son, Mr.
John FI. Williams, Somerset, N. J.; three sisters, Mrs.
Claudia Flolland, Cobbtown, Ga., Mrs. Millie Wynn,
Claxton, Ga., Mrs. Bertie Mae Rich, Claxton, Ga.; a
stepmother-in-law, Mrs. Lottie Wilkerson, Glennville, Ga.;
one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Williams, Somerset, N.J.;
two brothers-in-law, Mr. Jessie Flolland, Cobbtown, Ga.;
Dea. John Rich, Claxton, Ga.; six grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
