OBITUARY
Eugene L. Robbins, son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Claude
P. Robbins was born August 15, 1917 and departed this life
Friday, August 1, 1980.
He was born in Screven County Georgia and at an early
age moved to Mt. Vernon, Georgia. He was joined in Holy
Matrimony to Miss L. B. Mosley.
In later years they moved to Claxton, Georgia, where he
resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his wife.
Bro. Robbins joined the Thomas Grove A.M.E. Church.
He took interest in community life. For many years he was
employed as a truck driver and as foreman at Georgia Pacific,
Claxton Plant. He was forced into early retirement from The
Claxton Poultry Co. because of health conditions.
He leaves to mourn his passing an aunt, Mrs. Maude
Burns, Ogeechee, Georgia, two nieces, Mrs. Ethel James,
Claxton, Mrs. Ann Taylor, Swainsboro, Georgia, three
nephews, Claude Robbins, and Lee Grant Claxton, Georgia,
Calvin Robbins Jr. of Germany, and several nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be
the Name of the Lord.
