OBITUARY
Mrs. Rosa Lee Blocker Rhome, the daughter of the late
Mr, and Mrs. Will Blocker, was born February 15, 1897 in
South Carolina. She departed this life Saturday, July 19,1980.
At an early age the family moved to Georgia. She joined
the Salem Baptist Church in Groveland. Later in life, she
united with the First African M. B. Church under the
pastorage of Rev. R. L. Flolmes.
She was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Horace Rhome,
who proceeded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing, two grandchildren,
Woodrow Smith, Jr. and Snooky Smith, Omahq, Nebraska;
three sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Walker, Savannah, Ga., Mrs.
Alice Martin and Mrs. Vinnie Driver, Claxton, Ga.; five
brothers, Mr. Allen Blocker, West Palm Beach, Fla., Mr.
Luther Blocker, Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Harmon Blocker, Vidalia,
Ga., Mr. Ervin Blocker and Mr. Charlie Blocker, Claxt:n,
Ga.; five sisters-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Blocker, West Palm
Beach, Fla., Mrs. Ruth Blocker, Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Mary
Blocker, Vidalia, Ga., Mrs. Lillia Mae Blocker and Mrs.
Bessie Blocker, Claxton, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews,
cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes. And there
shall be no more death neither sorrow. Nor crying, neither
shall there be no more pain. For the former things are passed
away. Revelations 21:4
