OBITUARY
Mr. Randall Mills departed this life June 25,1980 at 1:00
p.m. at the Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. He
was born Feb. 2,1906 in Bryan County, Ga. He was the son of
the late Richard and Henrretta Mills. He joined the St. Luke
Baptist Church of Daisy, Ga. at an early age. He worked
faithfully until sickness made it an impossibility for him to
serve.
He was united in marriage July 14, 1930 to Elizabeth
Bacon. To this union seven children were born. He was a
devoted father and will be sadl^ missed by all that knew him.
His father and mother preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing: six daughters, Mrs. Ida
Mae Palmer, Mrs. Memphis Radford and Mrs. Evelyn
Palmer of Claxton, Ga., Mrs. Martha Williams, Mrs. Izetta
Smith and Mrs. Miley Melvin of Hagan, Ga.; two sons, Mr.
Jewel Mills, Bellville, Ga. and Mr. Richard Small of Claxton,
Ga.; one step-son, Mr. James Bacon of Claxton, Ga.; six
sisters, Mrs. Cora Mikel, Mrs. Maeretha Tompkins, Mrs.
Willie Lee James, Mrs. Bee Mincey, all of Bellville, Ga.,
Mrs. Lessie Gross, Boston, Mass, and Mrs. Vera Brown of N.
New Jersey; three brothers, Mr. Fletcher Mills and Mr.
Herman Mills of Bellville, Ga., Mr. Harry Mills of N. New
Jersey; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Muriel Mills of Bellville,
Ga.; one step-daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gwen Bacon of Claxton,
Ga.; two sons-in-law, Mr. Ivey Palmer and Mr. Lawrence
McKever, both of Claxton, Ga.; 28 grandchildren, 8 great-
grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing
friends.
Through this toilsome world, alas!
Once and only once I pass;
If a kindness I may show
If a good deed I may do
To a suffering fellowman.
Let me do it while I can
No delay, for it is plain
I shall not pass this way again.
