OBITUARY
Mrs. Irene Houston Lockhart, daughter of the late
George and Jean Collins Houston, and widow of the late
Clyde Lockhart was born March 14, 1903 in Richmond Hill,
Ga. She departed this life May 3, 1980 at 11:15 a.m. in the
Metter Nursing Home, Metter, Ga. She was a member of the
Healing Temple Church in Claxton, Ga.
Surviving are six children, 3 sons, Mr. Wesley Lockhart,
Gainesville, Fla., Sgt. First Class Robert C. Lockhart, Ft.
Knox, Ky. and Mr. Delano Lockhart, Claxton, Ga.; 3
daughters, Mrs. Julia L. Chaney, Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs.
Lorene McKever, Claxton, Ga. and Mrs. Cora L. Strode, Oak
Grove, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Frances H. Davis, Claxton, Ga.;
one sister-in-law, Mrs. Carrie Williams, Daisy, Ga.; 7 grand-
children: 3 sons-in-law; 1 daughter-in-law; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
