OBITUARY
Mrs. Gertrude Williams was born June 1, 1910 in
Tattnaii County, Ga., to the late Mrs. Jeanie Moore and Mr.
Ben Oglesbee. She departed this iife Juiy 13,1978 at Evans
Memorial Hospital after a long illness. At an early age she
joined the Chariton Grove Baptist Church and served as iong
as she was abie.
She ieaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Mr. Lee
Artis Wiiiiams, Ciaxton; her step-father and step-mother,
Mr. and Mrs. Weidon Moore, Ciaxton, Ga.; three sisters,
Mrs. Vernease McKinnon, Ciaxton, Miss Lula Bell Oglesbee,
Glennville, Ga., and Mrs. Ann Frink, New York, N. Y.; four
brothers, Mr. Calvin (Sonny) Oglesbee, Daisy, Mr. Ben K.
Oglesbee, Mr. Carl Oglesbee and Mr. Gene C. Oglesbee, all
of Glennville: two step-sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Ruffin and Mrs.
Juanita Moore, Ciaxton; one step-brother, Mr. Clifford
Moore, Carneville, Ga.; seven sisters-in law, Mrs. Sarah
Bess Oglesbee, Daisy, Mrs. Olerdene Oglesbee, Mrs. Janice
Oglesbee and Mrs. Earlene Oglesbee, all of Glennville, Mrs.
Ruby Mae Moore, Carnesville, Ga., Mrs. Edna Ruth
Williams, Honduras, Mrs. Maomia Jones, Philadelphia, Pa.;
three brothers-in-law, Mr. Aaron Frink, New York, Mr. John
Edward Green, Tampa, Fla., and Mr. Lewis Green,
Delware, N. J.; a devoted cousin, Mr. David Tillman,
Ciaxton, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
other relatives and friends.
