OBITUARY
Why do we mourn departed friends
Or shake at deaths alarm,
Tis but the voice that Jesus sends
To call them to his arms.
This is just another soldier gone
To get a great reward.
She fought the fight; she kept the faith and
now she has gone home to God.
Mrs. Maudie Mayner Brinson, born in Tatt-
nall County, Georgia, July 25, 1904, the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mayner, and de-
parted this life November 4, 1971, at the Evans
Memorial Hospital in Claxton, Ga.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Ned Brinson,
who proceeded her in death. She was the mother
of eleven children, three of which proceeded her
in death.
At an early age she joined the Hagan Chapel
Baptist Church and served as an active member
until she answered The Masters Call.
She played well her part in every phase of the
churchs activities.
She served faithful as a member of the
Church Mission and Womens Auxiliary. She was
also a member of the Hagan W. M. B. Society and
the Regional W. M. B. Society.
She leaves to mourn her passing, three sons,
Mr. Robert Brinson, Chicagi, 111., Eddie Brinson,
Miami, Fla., Freddie Lee Brinson, Hagan, Ga.; five
daughters, Mrs. Nola Mae Smith, and Ida Mae
Moody, Hagan, Ga., Miss Sadie B. Brinson and
Mrs. Sylvia Robinson, Atlanta, Ga, Mrs. Emma
Lee Davis, Miami, Fla.; three sons-in-law, Mrs.
Floyd Smith, Andrew Davis and Sinclair Robin-
son; twenty grandchildren and six greatgrand-
children; two sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews,
cousins and a host of friends.
I cannot say, and I will not say that she is
dead. She is just away!
