HISTORICAL SKETCH
Mr. Clarence T. Bacon, of Bellville, Ga., was
born March 25, 1913, in Liberty County, Ga. He
departed this life Friday, March 4, 1966 at his resi-
dence. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Miles Bacon.
He joined the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church
at an early age under the pastorage of Rev. J. D.
Douse, and served as a faithful member. He served
on the Usher Board, in the Choir and as Sunday
School Superintendent for a number of years, and
also a member of the St. Joseph Lodge No. 16, Clax-
ton, Ga.
He leaves to mourn a loving wife, Mrs. Willie
Bell Bacon; three children, Doris, Joyce Ann and
Bonnie, all of Bellville, Ga.; one grandson. Little
Christopher Troy Bacon, also of Bellville; one sister,
Mrs. Bonnie Bell Rice, Cincinnati, Ohio; two broth-
ers, Mr. Miles Bacon, Jr., Chester, Pa., Mr. Roscoe
Bacon, Pompano Beach, Fla..; one uncle, Mr. Ed
Daniels, Rayway, N. J.; five sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ze-
ola Brewton, Manassas, Ga., Mrs. Nellie Brown, Bell-
ville, Ga., Mrs. Pearl Mikell and Mrs. Bessie Mikell
of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis, Rahway,
N. J.; seven brothers-in-law, Mr. Nathaniel Brewton,
Manassas, Ga., Mr. Sylvester Brown, Bellville, Ga.,
Mr. J. C. Mikell, Hagan, Ga., Mr. Johnny Lewis,
Rahway, N. J., Mr. Paul Mikell, Miami, Fla., Mr.
James Richardson, Miami, Fla., and Mr. Andrew
Rice, Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of nieces and ne-
