OBITUARY
Mrs. Alberdia Bell Moore was the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Effie Bell and was born in Riceboro, (Johnson County)
Georgia, October 25, 1911.
While a young woman, she joined the Cosa Grove M.B.
Church, Soperton, Georgia. In the year of 1936 she moved to
Claxton. She then connected herself to the Mt. Calvary M.B.
Church. She later connected herself to the First A.B. Church,
under the pastorage of the late Rev. R. L. Holmes, v/here she
remained a faithful member until death. She departed this life
June 8, 1965 at the Bullock County Hospital.
She was active in religious and civic affairs. She served
as president of the First A.B. Church Mission for a number
of years, was Sunday School teacher and treasurer, was presi-
dent of the Womens Dept. Union No. 2 of the Mt. Calvary
M.B. Association, Past Matron of Sweet Evening Breeze, past
president Evans County High School P.T.A., secretary of
Knights of Moses, member Rose Bud Garden Club, and a den
mother.
She was married to the late Mr. C. W. Moore March 2, 1932
in Truetlen County, Soperton, Georgia. To this union seven
children were born.
She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters and sons-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Littles, Claxton, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas E. Harris, Atlanta, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. John W.
Everett, Bronx, N. Y.; one son, Mr. Savino Charles Moore,
Claxton, Ga.; father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Effie Bell,
Claxton, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. Beatrice McDon, Hollandale,
Fla.; Mrs. Mollie B. Coon, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Mae Lois
Brown, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Julia Mae Robinson, Jackson-
ville, Fla.; one brother, Mr. Murry Lee Bell, Soperton, Ga.;
one half sister, Mrs. Lucile Cannady, Cleveland, Ohio; three
grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, uncles, aunts,
nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends.
