Gentlemen
Your favour [favor] of the 6th instant with its enclosures, I have been duly honoured [honored] with. The information therein affords me pleasure in observing the Commissioners of Georgia are in such readiness to act in conjunction with those of Tennessee in laying off and cuting [cutting] out the contemplated road. I hope it will be of great and mutual advantages to both parties and be equal to our most Sanguine wishes and expectations --
Our assembly conveens [convenes] on Monday next, at which time it is expected every provision will be made necessary to forward the desireable [desirable] object, and I make no doubt our Commissioners will be ready to meet you on the
15th of August at Mr James Vanns, if they should not, I will Advise you of the same previous to the time of your meeting and you may rest assured Gentlemen, that every exertion will be made to facilitate and forward the business -- I will forward by tomorrows
