Personally came before me Brockman W. Henderson, a Justice of the Peace. Williamson Rew, who being duly [document damaged: sworn ] deposeth and saith, that he served as a Volunteer against the Creek Indians from the
first to the
Sixth of December 1835 inclusive, and that during that period he was in the Company of Volunteers under Capt [Captain] William S. Wilson -- raised by order of Colo [Colonel] Abednego McGinty in the County of Early for the purpose of Repelling the incursions of said Indians

I. Abednego McGinty Colo [Colonel] 88th Regiment G. M. [Georgia Militia] do hereby Certify that Williamson Rew serv'd [served] as a volunteer in the Company under the Command of Capt [Captain] William S. Wilson for the purpose and during the period stated in his affidavit --

Be it known that I Williamson Rhew do hereby appoint William [document damaged] Willson my agent To Remove my pay [document damaged: f ] or the services Rendered by me as herein stated and for me and in my name To Receipt for the same which is To be as fully and effectually legal and binding as if I were To have done the same myself. Witness my hand and seal this
