- This document is an undated letter and account from Colonel Daniel McMurphy, Superintendent of Indian Affairs appointed by Georgia, covering expenses incurred between November 3, 1777 and 1784. No Voucher appearing for any Charge made in the above Account I do not think myself at liberty to allow them, but advise Col: McMurphy to lay the Account before the Governor and Council or the Legislature to be adjusted.~ The Minutes of the House of
12th January 1782 appoints "James Rae and Daniel McMurphy Esquires Superintendants [Superintendents] of Indian Affairs" for that Year, and upon examining my Books I find Colo: [Colonel] McMurphy's Salary and Account for the Year
1782 has been already settled and a Certificate issued to him for the amount the
7th February 1784
