No Voucher appearing for any Charge made in the above Account I do not think myself at liberty to allow them, but advise Col: McMurphy to lay the Account before the Governor and Council or the Legislature to be adjusted.~ The Minutes of the House of
12th January 1782 appoints "James Rae and Daniel McMurphy Esquires Superintendants [Superintendents] of Indian Affairs" for that Year, and upon examining my Books I find Colo: [Colonel] McMurphy's Salary and Account for the Year
1782 has been already settled and a Certificate issued to him for the amount the
7th February 1784
