10th May I have Recd [Received] my absence from home prevented my answering you sooner, The detachments ordered out under majr [major] [unclear text: Deas ] was Discharged previous to my writing you on the 19, but on the Receipt of the news [deleted text: of the ] that the Indians had Killed Robesons family I ordered Majr [Major] [unclear text: Deas ] out again with thirty men he went only five Days before I Recd [Received] your Letter dated
11th May when I discharged them since which time no forces have been out by any order from me,
